BREAKING NEWS! The River's Edge Trail is excited to announce that the board has been awarded $2 million through the Iowa TAP grant program for the surfacing of the trail south of Eldora towards Gifford and for the South Fork Bridge Project!

Thank you to Iowa Natural Heritage Foundation for your assistance in securing the funds.

Join us to Celebrate Trails Day at the River’s Edge Trail - Eldora Trailhead on Saturday, April 27th.

We have an exciting day lined up, featuring a trail clean-up, tots-on-trikes story time with the Eldora Library, a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Eldora Trailhead, food, and a bike ride on the trail.

Hardin County Community Endowment Grant

We are excited to announce that the River's Edge Trail has been awarded a $15,000 grant from Hardin County Community Endowment Foundation for the South Fork Bridge Study to further the expansion of the trail!

Trail Vandalism

March 14, 2024 

A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual(s) responsible for damage to the River’s Edge Trail located approximately 3 blocks north of the trailhead in Eldora (see photos below).

If you have any information regarding the damage please contact the Eldora Police Department at 641-939-3333.
